BACKGROUND MARISCAL ANTONIO JOSE DE SUCRE was the Venezuelan general of Simón Bolívar's troops, who achieved the independence of Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia and who was commanding troops in the independence of Venezuela, Panama and Colombia. This project was born in the Barrio la Mariscal, in Quito, which commemorates this marshal, when Ecuador celebrates 200 years of the Battle of Pichincha, which made the Royal Audience of Quito, the origin of the Republic of Ecuador, independent.
